Q. Do I need planning permission?

Not always, but all loft conversions will require building regulations.

Q. What height does my roof space need to be?

You need to have 2.4m (8ft) to the highest point of the roof.

Q. How big will my new loft room be?

At the initial survey stage you can be given an approximate size for the new loft room.

Q. Where will the stairs go?

Normally above the existing staircase, but all staircases are custom made to each individual loft conversion.

Q. What happens to the water tanks?

They can either be moved to a different location or changed to a new system where the tanks will no longer be needed.

Q. What doors, skirting and architrave will be used?

All new fixtures and fittings will match your existing items as near as possible.

Q. Can any other works be done when the loft conversion is being carried out?

Any other works can be undertaken by our team when the loft conversion works are being carried out.

Q. How long does the work take?

Most lofts will take between 6-8 weeks to complete, some larger conversions may take up to ten weeks.
